We stayed here 8th and 9th of August the hotel was in a nice place the room we stayed in was a family room and was nice. The breakfast had a great choice from cereal to a full English you choose the day before what you would like on the breakfast. The people looking after the guesthouse was wonderful people very pleasant. WiFi signal was good our daughter used it while we was there on her iPad We will definitely stay here again. Currently here on a work trip in one of the holiday cottages and it is fantastic. Daisy cottage is lovely and comfortable. The owners are friendly and have been very helpful. The access to the m6 has been fantastic for all the trips around the various offices i have been visiting all week, and the local back lanes and villages have been amazing for the afternoons out on my ebike... and it's only a mile or so off national cycle route 7. 15 minutes drive from Ullswater; The A66 for Keswick and the A66 is one junction away on the m6 and it's a quick 30-40 minute jaunt up the motorway into scotland, so your midnight elope into gretna is also easy! If im ever back up this way again, I'd be more than happy to stay here again. Having a little patio to eat breakfast on in the morning with the sheep has been amazing. The choice between being here and being stuck in the local Penrith travelodge is no choice at all!
Well, what can I say about this first class accommodation. It was clean, it was very comfortable and the people who own it (Linda and her husband) are the most pleasantest of people my wife and I have ever met. they made our short stay very enjoyable. We were greeted by Linda who was so lovely and shown to our room. We stayed in a family room which accommodated us perfectly! Peaceful and beautiful surroundings and an amazing breakfast! Also only 10 minutes from Ullswater Lake and close to the M6. I would highly recommend this guest house and would definitely stay there again! Wonderful & safe experience during COVID.
What can you say that hasn't already been said in previous reviews, amazing hosts, so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Amazing room, so clean and comfortable. Situated in lovely countryside with great walks and plenty of parking. If we get back to lakes I know where we'll be staying. Thank you for a lovely stay
We spent a lovely couple of nights at The Ginney recently. The room was first class, extremely clean, very comfortable beds and stylish decor. The breakfast was so tasty and we had everything we needed and more. The hosts were so friendly and very informative regarding the local area and places to eat. Would highly recommend. Probably the best b&b we have ever used. Comfy bed, spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast and friendly hosts. The Ginny is very convenient for motorway and has ample parking. We will be back.
Myself and my husband stayed here last weekend, what an amazing place a guesthouse that's like 5* hotel. Service was absolutely fantastic I'm celiac and nothing was to much trouble. There was gluten free chocolates on the room gluten free cereals out for breakfast, lovely gluten free cooked breakfast. Would recommend to anyone FANTASTIC
